Why would you not want to lift heavier than your body weight? When you build muscle mass, your metabolism burns more calories daily, aiding in weight loss. OP, lift heavy. Eat clean.
you can lift more then your body weight but listen its the form of whatever that's key so say I lift 500 lbs easily but my form isn't good at all and your doing 100lbs you'll get a better workout then me and always remember the weight will come in time don't rush it.

Exactly. I just wanted to make it clear that if you can lift more than our body weight, with good form, then you would be holding yourself back by not lifting heavier.

Guys this stuff is gold thank you so much for your support here is a brief log of what i will do please feel free to post and add to it

- Eat Tuna
- Go gym and do low cardio, brisk walk
- Lift more than my muscle mass in weight so it burns more calories faster
- In corporate weights into the workout
- Find out my metabolic rate and eat 500-600 calories less than it

Please keep posting this is really solid info guys

13 stone?
how tall are you?
im 6'0 and im 13 stone and no way near fat, i have muscle though.
to lose weight just dont eat fatty foods (also cut back on the carbs and dont exceed your daily allowance) and do a lot of cardio as well at working out... stick at it for a few months and before you know it you would have lost probably 2 stone...

jogging/running, skipping (jump rope), basically high intensity cardio will burn A LOT of calories

Right as of now i have 50 pounds gone in the last 4 months, if you're trying to lose weight fast just cut back on the snack foods you eat and try and keep your meals under 500 cals, and exercise from 1hr- 1hr 30mins a day, im 16 also btw
