Hello,
I am building my first PC, and it is moderately cheap (659.31) for the parts I have chosen. I will have a friend help me put it together, but I was wondering if anyone here could help me confirm that the parts I have chosen are compatible with the motherboard, case, etc.
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard - $89.99

Any feedback would be great. I used amazon because everything seemed to be cheaper there versus websites like newegg. It would be great if you could tell me if the parts are not compatible, if I am missing something, or if have something extra.
Thanks tons,
Ehgg

That build is okay but you're paying over the odds for some of the parts, so here is my opinion of what you should get thats within budget and should perform better.

Also disregard the comment about the system lasting only a year, it isn't right. Unless the poster was implying you should only buy a quality PSU, in that case he would be correct.
