I just jtagged a jasper (16mb) and everything went fine. I got the CPU key from Xell, put it down and came back a few hours later and now when I try to turn it on it gives me E79 error. I am almost certain it doesn't have to do with hardware failure being a jasper and since it has only had about 24 hours of use in its whole life. The fans aren't running fast either.

I wrote back the original NAND and it worked fine. Now I wrote it back to hacked image and no e79 but just won't boot. Should I try AUD_CLAMP wiring?

Rewire it make sure your diodes are facing the right direction.

Aud_Clamp wiring is different and requires you to also build a Aud_Clamp Image also... worth giving it a shot.

Ya my wiring is all correct. It booted Xell and I got the CPU key and then when I turned it on again it got e79, so all the wires are on correctly. I guess I will try Aud_Clamp unless you have any other idea of what could be wrong?

Rewire it with original wiring first, you might have a damaged Diode.

It would also help to post images of your wiring/soldering for reference.

I just replaced the diodes. No luck. No e79 but no boot. I would post pics but it would take me forever to get them on my computer and upload. I'm confident with my wiring (and had worked before). I don't really feel like doing the aud_clamp because I have to unscrew everything so if there's anything else that you can think of, please let me know.

Edit: just got a boot. All 4 green lights on console stayed on though like it was glitchy or something. Can't get another so inconsistent.

Just got another boot no problem but still very inconsistent and I got 2 red rings one time. Reminds me of R-jtag when you don't have the dips right.

take out of case and see if it works did you make sure the diodes are not touching the case on the other side.

There was no diodes on the other side. I just took out of the case and did the aud_clamp wiring. Flashing back to stock and applied the aud_clamp setting and wrote Xell. Have me e79 but I think I did the aud_clamp wiring wrong. Do you have a picture of the correct way without using the transistors, or is that the only way? Never tried aud_clamp before.
