So I'm going from amd to intel, I'm getting a new motherboard so don't warn me, In addition to the cpu and motherboard I'll be getting an ssd. My only question is what do I do about my existing harddrive? Do I have to completely wipe it?

Moving to the darkside! No, you won't need to wipe it however you'll need a new windows activation key as they are linked to the motherboard of the system.

Its true if you want a legitimate copy, but i thought i'd leave the other ways to people who've tried them. My Windows already gets corrupted enough if i overclock incorrectly, it doesn't need me messing with it haha.

Not a big fan, just undecided what i'd rather have and as i've got a FX series might aswell stay AMD for the time being.

Nothing wrong with Intel OP, i wish i had everytime i see my energy bill.

KeyBoardWarriors wrote Not completely true, there's a program called removeWAT that removes windows activation, so it's like a free activation.

That's illegal.

That depends if it's an OEM version or not.
