this isn't just a camera, i don't want this sent to the government, this is a big deal.
And saying that you can turn it off is invalid, it still has to be plugged in so it is still on, and connected.
Thats the whole deal with prism, they bybass laws with the small print, they don't need a warrant to look into you, isnt that scary? Reading one sentence from microsoft saying it can be turned off will not suffice, they will release a massive T&C that nobody will read, and they will easily be able to get around this.

Our Privacy is becoming a joke, we are already being watched everywhere you go, when you walk into a shop there are about 5 cameras on you, the only privacy is your home..... and here come kinect...

Kinect, One camera inside one room of your house? Or a cell phone that has 2 cameras, can track you anywhere, has personal info, can record audio, and so on.

Could you see the goverment/authorities looking for a: terrorist, drug dealer, child porn offenders, murder suspect, missing person, or a gang member using a gaming console?.......No!! A cellphone is the only logically device or maybe a personal computer. They most likely will use their own surveillance equipment.

If the goverment/authorities want to watch you.....they are gonna do it. So not buying a Xbox One and Kinect only hurts you cuase then you're stuck with a second-rate gaming device.

This has been a rumor circulating for a while now. According to Microsoft the Kinect can be turned off. It is also highly unlikely that they will be spying on us. Even if they are spying on us, You will buy the console anyway.
