I think I understand what you are saying... There are two possible things you could be saying, I will contribute my thoughts on both situations.
Alrighty, so the first way would be (you weren't really clear, but I'm guessing) that in a far, far away galaxy, there is an identical solar system to ours. I have reason to believe that this is what you meant because of: "what if millions of miles away there's another planet like earth and when they look up they can see all 8 Planets and The Sun?" So in this scenario, if we were to discover this "identical planet", that would mean that the "identical planet" would discover us at the same exact time we discovered them. There would be a duplicate of you on that planet, thinking the same exact thing you are thinking on this planet. Of course, all of this would have to been the cause of the same exact timing of the Big Bang, and location obviously. If this "identical planet" does exist, it would still take us thousands upon thousands of years to find. So, while going to explore this "identical planet", this is the time when everything changes. Well, this might be a couple of twists and turns in the path along, but because of the identical solar system's location, a lot would change when leaving each solar system. Ok, I'm done with that topic, on to the next scenario.
OK, so this scenario is the same as the one above, except different timing. You can play around with this one in your head for fun, if you're a nerd. Who knows, maybe you have two identical solar systems except one of the solar system's life started a couple of years before the other. That would basically be the same thing like above, with a few complications. I don't want to go in depth, but I think you get the gist of this.
I made a topic similar to this a while ago. My topic.
Above, is an example of what I was talking about in the first scenario I believe. Hilariously, I tl;dr'd my own topic. Aha, yea that happened.
Another quote that might explain somethings:
The reason I typed so much and put a lot of time and effort into this post is because I find this kind of stuff is interesting.

Since the first uni-cellular organism on earth, animals were going to live like this no matter what happened. Me typing this topic is "planned". If you still don't get it, I'll try to explain it a bit more in depth; Have the big bang happen again in a parallel universe, on a planet with the EXACT same structure as the earth, with the same sun, same moon, etc... A uni-cellular organism would form again, life would start again, etc...
Life would be the same exact as life here. If these parallel universes both formed at the same time, you'd be wearing the same shirt there as you are here right now. I know many people have talked about this before, but I'm about to talk about something different.
What if life on one of the planets in the parallel universes started before the other? For example, here on Earth it would be 2013. But on parallel Earth, it would be 1943. That isn't that good of an example of the "time" difference because it's so close and would be very rare, but it's easier for more people to understand.
Considering that the universe never ends, maybe there is an Earth just like ours somewhere out there. Maybe in millions in years, as technology advances, we will communicate. They can help us, or we can help them. Example: Inventions, Tragic incidents, etc. Basically like the future telling you what to do, but not the future because it's at the exact same time, just life started at a different time on the other planet. I know this is very unlikely, but it's just a thought that popped into my head earlier.
If this didn't make any sense just post below and I'll try to explain it more.

phlegm wroteiModHD wrote So basically if we altered the universe in the past into a perfect utopia and it didn't affect the future of our universe but because we are the future universe we can change the other...what a thought, nice post
Yes, that's what I was trying to explain in a nutshell basically.
2015 wrote I doubt everything is planned. We all have the option of free-will and we choose how we live our life. It's your actions that make your life. At-least I think that.
My "planned" and your "planned" have two different meanings. You don't understand my concept. I know we all have the option of free will, I know we choose to live our life certain ways. But had there be another universe exactly like this one, the same things would happen the same way.
The reason I typed so much and put a lot of time and effort into this post is because I find this kind of stuff is interesting.

I don't think the odds of having an Earth-like planet are even relevant to the smallest amounts of units. I would think that it would actually have a little harsher environments, but the organisms living on the planet adapted to the planet being "more harsh" than Earth. I don't know, just a thought
