Same rule applies for the you can only give rep to 10 people, that includes -rep.

And you could -rep them back anyway which is pretty much why they got rid of it.

The ability to give negative reputation was disabled long time ago due to members misusing the feature and abusing it. Staff then got tired of members complaining about being negative repped for no apparent reason which is why it was removed.

-rep was removed a little while ago. From what I read in the Ask The Staff section, it was removed because to many people kept posting/PM staff complaining and just was getting annoying.

I remember negative rep. All of the illegitimate hosters had like -10 rep. Those were the good days...

Taken out because people always cried when it happened to them.

They took it out because members were complaining about loosing reputation.
