I will just say one game.

The last of us. OMG, having a hard time finding the proper words to describe it. Last year I said Far Cry 3 was an absolutely amazing game with lovely graphics and a great story, multiply that with 10 and you have The last of us. REALLY recommend it for everyone who haven't tried it yet (PS3 exclusive)

I would have to say
Farcry 3
Deadisland Riptide

Both fantastic, especially Deadisland. You can also do the campaign co-operatively on it too

Skyrim I would have to say, or AC3. Fallout also is pretty good for single player. but if you just want to mess around and have fun, you could get GTA 4.

If you have a PS3, I'd HIGHLY recommend The Last of Us.

I don't even have a PS3, I was watching a playthrough and I still loved the game. Even though it wasn't me playing, I still felt all the emotion through the various cutscenes. It's honestly a 10/10 in my book.

Dead Island Riptide was one of the worst games released this year. Didn't fix modding, bad campaign, few added guns, and it was just horrible. Dead Island 1 was better.

All Halo games, Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, Far Cry 3 and all the Assassins Creed games have great stories.

I really enjoyed the Bioshock series, for me Bioshock 1 is easily a top hit.

Fallout 3 I thought was amazing, but New Vegas was a bit cruddy compared to Fallout 3. I could also play Resident Evil 4 for ages as well, sort of scary the first time round, but when you're on your 9th play through on the second console it's just a matter of memory, that and the girl you're saving has the same name as me.
