What kind of weapon is your melee of choice? It might have something to do with that. If your a dagger kind of user, then you will likely have trouble. Or if your a two-handed then the slowness of such weapons can cause trouble too. When I first played, not knowing anything about them, I just used to fire breath them away. Though I always hate on the slaughterfish, even when I need their scales for potions they suck big time.

I've always been a one handed sword and shield user, i occasionally pull out a bow though. slaughterfish are more categorized as plain annoying in my mind, it's not that they are hard to kill but killing them is tedious.

Ah I prefer using a spell with a one handed, but then I use Skyrim to create my original character and roleplay, hence my modding requests lol A bit hard to play him if I have to search the whole game to find everything for him.

Bears kill me alot because normally when ever im trying to make money ill be walking over weight while casting muffle

If you want to make money look at alchemy or enchanting, preferably alchemy.

Its so easy to make a ridiculous amount of money. Within the first few hours of a new game I'd have too much money.

I tried sword and spell once and it never really worked out for me. I did use dual casting spells on one character though and had a lot of fun with it. I myself should try roleplaying in skyrim some time.

It can be very fun, though I have a tendency to half roleplay half play the game. Like I try not to use my knowledge of the games layout for my character, but sometimes I just can't help it.

Does Witches that are half bird are pretty annoying and to over powerful

I've always found dragons tedious, not because they're difficult, just because it takes a long time to take them down if you're in an awkward position where they can't land.

No point using it if it sends the dragon to the otherside of some hills to find a landing spot. Some times you are just in a place with no landing areas for the dragon, even with dragonrend.
