Audi A3 not sure about the price, look it up might be able to get a banged up A3 in your price range
You need to get like a 1.8 or a 1.9 Diesel engine, good mileage.

Buy a civic, or a Accord and then slowly build it, spend about 2 grand then 4 grand left over then get other items.

Honestly i would go on craigslist look up what you want and only spend $4000. Then take the remaining 2 grand and take it to a mechanic for a tune-up then personalize it with whatever is left(That's what i would do).

This really does depend on 1) How old you are, and 2) where your from (U.K or U.S)
If its your first car, something small, cheap to run and cheap to insure. Because insurance costs a sh** load!
So probably like a modern ish Ford Focus (2006-2010)? Or maybe a Saab 9-5 or a Saab 93. Saab are amazing car's
