M16xDr0pSh0tz wrote But scientists claim they do and call it a theory. A theory is tested and that cannot be tested so it should be called an hypothesis.

The difference is that scientists have evidence to support their theories, there's no evidence supporting religion however.

"According to a study conducted by Harvard, atheists have a higher average IQ (119) than any other religious group of people."

We cannot be compared to percents and tests done on the wrong people. Everyone is different...

Here's my theory. Most of us have to believe there is a beginning to everything because that's what we're taught and that's how life is. But honestly, I think the Universe has just always been. There doesn't need to be a beginning, nor an end to it. Many of us either can't seem to grasp this concept or have never thought it.

As for a god. ehh probably not. If so there is no "Heaven." The crazy thing is reincarnation of your body's energy is probably as close to an afterlife we will get.

Feel free to reply to this. and if you want to go further into depth PM me.

While I agree there are some discrepancies in the Global Warming argument I would much rather take the side of the guy with the PhD.
As for the guy who complained about someone talking about clouds, that image of God comes from Religious interpretations of Heaven and paintings done over the past 2000 thousand years.
Heaven is 3 parts, the firmament [clouds], the moon and stars and the throne, God occupies all 3, so yes, he/she/it would be sat up in the clouds.

That's my problem with science/religion.

That's the thing I never said that plus It may be. Has anything seemed impossible in our species?

Religion is an old fashioned theory, anyone that still believes in it is brainwashed and deluded.

Not true, nobody has the Final True Answer on Religion or Science.

God can't be tested so I guess God is just a hypothesis to then. 1234((

1) A bunch of religions state the world has been around for 10,000 years.

We know beings existed before 8,000 BC.

So I'm not sure where you get your figures, but we have also been on Earth much longer then 200,000 years and the Earth is older then that.

A scientific theory is different then you think.

A law is something that could be re-produced without being dis proven essentially, a theory is something that has been observed.

Technically, the Green House Effect is a theory, not a law. So yes, it's uncertain, no one knows if it truly exists.

All we know is our atmosphere and weather patterns have changed, to put it in simpler terms.

Also, we know what the environment was like thousands of years ago, we have found fossils with elements from the atmosphere.

3)Big bang theory, is yet again just a theory.

Your question could pertain to everything.

Religion: Where did God come from?

Math: Where did the basis come from (how it's so universal).

What you don't realize is that almost everything is similar.

For example, medicine works because EVERYONE is the same. For depression, we all have serotonin that helps regulate our moods. Our brains all do essentially the same thing.

This has been conclusive through repeated tests.

Without science, none of what we have is possible.

For example, flash drives actually flash because the light contains data.

Quantum physics my friend.
