Funny that I am wearing my Halo 4 shirt right now.

Edit- Also the multiplayer got off the path of the original Halo's. I'll admit Halo Reach started it but Halo 4 went overboard. It's like they went to copy CoD. I don't want to play CoD though and a lot of people who play Halo don't either. That seems like the reason why a lot of people dislike it. Took away from the roots and tried to balance the multiplayer. Not what made Halo fun.

Halo Reach was supposed to be from a Spartan's perspective not Chief's.

1. The Ranking system: In Halo 3 you had the individual Ranking. Which was great for boasting about your ranking in certain gametypes, and if you joined FFA with a Level 50, well you knew that guy was going to dominate the FFA match. This added great fun to the game, that I think Halo 4 lacks.

2. Map Size: When it comes to Halo Maps, bigger just isn't better. Adding in the short range of the Assault Rifle, and the fact that Halo is Known for it's badass melee system, larger maps aren't too enjoyable. The smaller (No CQB necessarily, but medium size) the map, the more Hectic the CTF matches, and ohmydaysss dem Oddball games.

3. Quality of Maps: Halo 3's maps are superior to Halo 4's in every way. These maps are the God Tier of Halo 3 matchmaking - Blackout, The Pit, Guardian, Avalanche, Standoff, Last Resort and Epilogue. No maps in Halo 4 can go toe to toe with these.

4. The Armor Customization: I can't play a single match of Halo 4 without some idiot SR130 with a Unicorn helmet. Does 343 really have to add in these silly customizations and uncreative ideas just to keep people buying the game? Halo 3 had great customization, I had so much fun playing through the Campaign, and looking for all those secrets and such for the next piece of Armor. Now I just unlock some lame helmet when I level up.

5. The Experience: You play Halo because it's a refreshing break from the gameplay mechanics and style of series like Battlefield, and CoD, Hell, even GoW. Playing Halo 4 makes me feel like a robot playing CoD. This isn't enjoyable, just more bad memories of a bad series (CoD). If Halo continues on this path, pretty soon it will be indistinguishable from CoD/BF. Halo 3 was completely different from these, and had those amazing maps, and playstyles. Not to mention a more even battlefield to play on.

These are just 5 reasons, I just hope they let you see a little more why people complain about Halo 4. Thanks

Halo 3 is better because bungie made it not 343 industries or whatever and every halo after halo 3 was not even halo they were all trash in my opinion.

I Think customizing you're classes are balanced because you have to level up to get Spartan Points which get you weapons, basically all the weapons are balanced sorta. Well if you are a diamond account on Horizon, you can just unlock everything on Halo 4. You will get all armors, emblems, weapons, etc. Only thing you don't receive is the specializations.

Yes, Halo 4 is a great game but its almost like its too easy. I've played through the campaign very easily on legendary solo in a few hours, while on Halo 3 and even Reach it took me a day or two at most. The ranking system on Halo 3 was far better, mainly because I prefer an actual rank rather than a number and because it wasn't a system where I could go 5-13 and still have a chance to rank up. Halo 3 had to options Highest Skill and XP. It had a vibe that just kept you playing, while Halo 4 seems like a mashup of Call of Duty with the custom classes, and ordinance drops (killstreaks) and the ranks.

Don't get me wrong, Halo 4 is a great game but Halo 3 is still a far better game in my eyes.

OH, I forgot about Custom Games. Halo 3 dominated in that aspect. I met many friends and had lots of great times on Halo 3 custom games.

If you really want Custom Games Halo Reach was the best at Forge and Custom Games no doubt about it, I though the classes and Ordinance drops were cooler and more balanced 343 Said they put in ordianced drops to make it more balanced in Halo Reach (and I think Halo 3) where you know exactly where the power weapons are.

I can agree with you on that. Not many of my friends enjoyed Halo Reach as much as Halo 3 though, so I never had as much interaction with custom games on it as Halo 3. Thats true, but I liked the aspect of having power weapons. You sort of had to fight for them, or if you played as a team you can have the one who has the most experience with it use it.

Halo 1 was my favourite in my opinion but halo 3 custom games and forge were the best..
