How you described it later isn't even being forced. It sounds like they say it's a good game and you should get it, and you feel obligated.

The only game I ever bought because of friends was Black Ops 2. It just collects dust now, but I end up buying something and people tend to follow me xD.

I hate when friends are all playing a certain game then i get it and they all stop playing it.

A couple i can think of
Defiance
Forza 4
Madden 13
UFC 3
Sniper Elite V2

I wasn't forced into buying them but i wasted a lot of money on games.

Just simply don't buy the game, you don't have to buy every game your friends try to force you to buy.

The word NO is a good word that isn't used often. Maybe using it will result in less regrets. They will keep telling you and telling you and you keep doing it. Just say no if it doesn't sound appealing or if you're saving up for something. Then maybe get it afterwards, if you want it.
