Thanks man, If he needs to know my skills and interest, I'm good at programming, build and solving problems. My interest would be outdoors, people, culture and technology.

Okay, we had a little bit of a malfunction with the phone, I think his died becasue I keep calling him back and he doesn't answer. I got a couple tips though, he said to pursue what you enjoy, whether it results in great pay or not. Also, he suggested going into Civil Engineering because of your likings. Hey, it's your choice though! Choose what you feel is the best for yourself!

You should go into Mechanical Engineering because it is broad.. You do not want to get to specific because that may decrease your opportunity of finding jobs once you graduate from college!

Not to rain on your parade, but you might want to pick another field. The reason for my comment is highlighted within your quote. A large portion of your classes in any engineering school within a university will be dedicated to math. By your comment of "Just made enough to get into the program" I get the feeling that you are not that confident in your math skills. Just getting in is the first hurdle, once in they will THROW every math course they can at you, especially in your Freshman year.

If you look at them you will see an overwhelming load dedicated to mathematics. I don't want to discourage you, but I think you need to consider everything before making a decision. Now, if you are excellent in math and your comment was made because of your humble nature, please disregard.


I mean you no offense, I just wanted to give you a different perspective.
