how do i know what type of jasper i have

If you know its in running condition, just go to the memory tab under the settings menu. If there is no memory unit shown there, then you have a 16MB NAND. If there is a Memory Unit shown there, then if the capacity is shown to be 214MB then you have a 256MB NAND and if the capacity is shown to be 451MB, then you have 512MB NAND.
So, in short:
No Memory Unit = 16MB NAND
Capacity: 214MB = 256MB NAND
Capacity: 451MB = 512MB NAND
