Every time i try and download my friends profile on to my xbox it says there is something wrong with his "microsoft account" help?

Do you already have his profile on your Xbox but he changed his password ? If so, delete it first then download it.

Usually it's a problem with the email or password he probably tried signing in with the wrong email or password to many times

Try deleting the account of your harddrive (if you have it on there). Then turn off your xbox for 2 minutes. Then try to recover it again.
