I want to use the John smith texture pack but I don't know how to :/

Resource pack put the .zip into the resource pack folder ;)

I think I already told the other guy that It didn't open when I did it lol. That would be my problem occurring, not the derp problem.

Well you really havent given us any info besides "it doesnt work"
more specifics would help solve the problem... like what happens when you try to use it, does it even show up on the list of textures at all, etc

Saying it doesnt work is like saying "my car wont start" obviously the first step is put the keys in but if you say it still doesnt start we are no closer to helping you

Sorry about that, alright.

I downloaded the pack and I kept it zip, I put it in the resource pack file where it is suppose to be in since the new 1.6 patch. The problem is that is doesn't show up in the resource pack option and isn't on in game.

Let me know if you would like more details and I can try to give you as much as I can.
