Recently my MacBook Pro has been overheating. The top left of the keyboard is always the hottest.
It pretty much makes it useless as it becomes extremely laggy. When this has happened I go to the activity monitor and Kernal Task is taking 0ver 200% CPU?
Someone said something about a temperature sensor being faulty but I have no clue.
Any help much appreciated.

I have a MacBook Pro 2010 and after using it for a while it becomes so hot that I can't keep it on my lap. It never actually turns off or anything though or lags.
Is it always hot or does it heat up the longer you use it?
If this is the case then just take regular breaks and be sure to turn it off rather than leave it on when you have finished using it.

I'd hope its not the battery, as it's not that old.
But maybe.
But maybe.

Normally gets hot over time, or when running semi intensive programs.
