This isn't regarding the story, as that's already been revealed. Instead Ill cover my theory on why they called themselves the ghosts. If this too has already been revealed, disregard this message, as I'm not exactly current on news. There's obviously a connection between the ghosts, and the character ghost, or at least this is what the studio wants you to believe. I'm not going to go into too much detail about ghost, although he isn't exactly dead. Or at least that's what an IF studio developer said after the release of MW2. Now, this could mean any number of things, the most direct being that he is alive. But that's not how I'm going to interpret it. Him "not exactly" being dead could mean any number of things. He could be a vegetable state, for example. Although I doubt the studio would do that. Instead I'm going to interpret that as them meaning ghosts spirit is still alive. And no, I don't mean ghost is literally a ghost now, I'm referring to spirit as in his actions somehow earned him a high name in the military. Once you think about it this way, the ghosts group starts to make a little bit more since. Isn't it possible that they named themselves the Ghosts to honor the great soldier ghost?
