I prefer people to only be called gamers once they play at least 4 genres on a regular basis (ex: once a month). It's annoying when I hear someone only playing shooters and LoL. I prefer strategy games like the old Command and Conquer series games. But I also like to play puzzle games too like portal. I like to play shooters and rpg games as well. I don't see why "gamers" who only play a certain genre too much can be considered gamers.

I do understand professionals playing a certain game type a whole bunch though but that's mainly for training purposes.
