If you've got an X2 250, don't upgrade your PC, just build a new one with the $600 you have to spend.

The price difference between those two graphics cards are pretty big; you should know that the $400 card is going to be better. If you don't know what a CPU are PSU are though, you probably shouldn't be buying individual parts.
