Get a car with good gas mileage because gas isn't cheap.

What's your budget?
I'm grateful my mother makes six figures so I was able to get a good car( not great because obviously i'm still a new driver)
I still have it. An '09 charger RT plus.
But if i would go cheaper maybe a jeep(very good in winter) or mazda(sexy fast cheap)

Well what is your price range?
My first car was a 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan and I am absolutely in love with it.
It was perfect for me, just enough power to get a little crazy but not to crazy if you know what I mean. Very luxurious, nice interior and stuff. It was my dads car before it was mine so that is how I ended up with it but Infiniti's normally run around 9,000 for a used 2000 model
Goodluck!

Look at used car lots in your hometown. I wouldn't get anything too fancy, as it is your first and you probably want something cheap. Look for a high MPG and low mileage. Those are the basics.
