That's what most people have though. Even with full, you can only use 5 motherboards.

I always say you do need to buy a new key for windows but then i get the typical "hurr durr be hax0r and torrent it" err no. Windows is broken enough already without being cracked.

AM3+ will continue to be supported through Steamroller.

But what about after? Do we even know what comes after Steamroller, because I sure don't.

And I just looked it up and worryingly, it says Steamroller is only for FM2/2+ sockets?

There chips do last a while as even though am3 is out am2 cpus are still being released such as the 6800k

Excavator after Steamroller apparently. Someone at AMD likes heavy machinery. They'll probably base the chip on that architecture then make APU's, then FX desktop chips after that.

Also i think if you're referring to the A10-6800k then thats a FM2.

Oh Excavator derp. Already heard that, just forgot.

Just double checked, Steamroller's non-APU processors are AM3+ and the APUs are still FM2.

Makes me laugh how Intel name after nice sounding places, and AMD don't care and think "yeaaah heavy machinery awesome!"

Well AMD aren't exactly known for their low TDPs now are they...

And Steamroller before Christmas would be great AMD.
