I would suggest a mid-range IPS panel like one of these.


Hey, thanks for all those suggestions. They seem great tbh, but what is better about IPS?

I notice they all have 5+ m/s. Will I really notice this if using an Xbox 360 or One?

For gaming, you want a 1-2ms monitor, best bet is saving money and buying a 1ms responce benQ monitor.

Thanks, but I never have been a hardcore gamer, so I'm not so sure Id notice it. At the moment, I have a 19 inch, 3 year old Bush TV, and that seems okay, just not the best quality. Ive never noticed a lag before

No, you won't notice and the improved image quality is much more important. IPS displays have more accurate colors, viewing angles, and color shift.
