Ok tard, updated the post just for you. i bet if you try it now it will work as it has been a while, sometimes the VISA needs time to register to XBOX Live, therefore u cannot instantly use the visa, i have had 20+ vouches for me, and you are the only one complaining. You sir, are a derp.. but thanks anyway :facepalm:

United States option for what, the only thing you need as US is your locale when you create the account on your console, your bancore account can be United Kingdom...
