Can you use a MW3/BO2 Trainer online or just offline?

It depends on the trainer, most work for both but not if you are setting stats unless it says it does.

I am using one for MW3 here and I'm in a private match, when I open it one of the options is Level 80 (Online) but it won't change my level?

Online and offline stats have different offsets so the trainer might use the offline offsets so u can only use it offline
