I have my UDID registered on my friends DEV account, can i download the torrent for iOS 7 or do i have to get it from the DEV Portal (The Portal is still down)? And when I have the software, do I hit update or restore? All the tutorials on YouTube show how to get it without registering, is it any different? Sorry for the noob questions

If you're going to use a torrented one, use restore. Shift+Click restore and choose the iOS 7 ipsw.

You can use a torrent, and you will want to use the "Update" option. What device are you putting it on?

If you have a registered UDID then you click SHIFT-RESTORE
If you dont have a registered UDID you click SHIFT-CHECK FOR UPDATE
