Quantum- wrote You guys obviously don't understand the question.Laptop's struggle with most games. Yes it WILL run minecraft. For a short while. Need to be on low settings but ? and laptops have the tendency to overheat quickly running any games. I had a laptop same sort of spec with an intel i5 and it didn't last long with minecraft or WoW on low setting because it would overheat after an hour or so gaming.
The laptop is more than enough for minecraft. You guys need to read up on your specs, if you think this laptop can't run minecraft.
Of course it is optimal if you build your own PC, but he is asking about this laptop.

Disregard anyone who says this won't run minecraft.
This would run minecraft completely fine, in highest settings, it will run most other games completely fine as well (apart from games like battlefield 3/4, crysis 3 etc, which it will probably do OK on low/medium)
most people can't afford gaming laptops, that's why they get mad and spout *insert generic "get a desktop bro"* comments all over the place, while they sit there with their 3 tonne desktop 24/7 and can't go over to friends houses and have hella fun LAN parties (if they even have real friends that is)
Enjoy gaming wherever you want OP

Decayed wrote No. That is horrible. Get a Desktop. I suggest building one. If you do not want to just buy a pre-built desktop. Not a laptop.
You clearly do not understand what he is asking
Read his topic's title, he ask if it can run Minecraft which yes it can. The computer he chose could run Minecraft easily at 30-45FPS. He wasn't asking for a Desktop, and honestly he probably doesn't give two shits about your opinion. #Skid

This computer will run Minecraft completely fine on High Settings. Also for the people complaining about how laptop's overheat, quit being a cheap ass and go buy a nice cooling pad. I have a Thermaltake Massive23 LX, which only cost $30 and keeps my laptop extremely cool and quiet 24/7.

Yes, this laptop will run it I have a Intel Pentium dual core with 2.20 GHz and 8 GB (Installed RAM) also a 750GB HDD.
But if you also research, there is a Mod for Minecraft called "Optifine" which if you pick the right settings i'm sure you will play it fine, if not then I suggest you get a better graphics card.
Regards.

well you have a better ram than me and the same graphics card, i run a mc server and i get NO LAG. So for now the computer you have is just fine. Besides you aren't using any big programs like autodesk programs or adobe because those need some big ram to run especially autodesk.

It won't help much i had one!, Also for other people calling me an idiot minecraft is more CPU demanding than GPU. so i'd suggest getting a better Processor than Graphics Card.

There are tons of laptops that are great for gaming. My laptop can run battlefield 3 on ultra with 50+ fps.
