I am due for an upgrade and plan on getting the HTC One. The problem is I hate sense. I don't want to buy the google edition because there is no carrier version and I don't want to pay full retail. So my question is, can I root an AT&T HTC One and flash the google edition rom on it?

Also, does the google version have HTC Zoe?

Rooting the HTC One is possible!
Before you can do anything you need to go unlock your boot-loader which you can do via the HTC Dev's site!
Once your done unlocking it its just a case of Finding the latest TWRP for the HTC One, getting all the right files in the right places, putting your phone in FastBoot and then flashing it and then downloading and installing SuperUser if the TWRP doesnt come with it!
As for Flashing the Google Edition ROM im not sure! There is obviously ROM's available to flash to the device but you'll need to find the Official ROM if its been released/leaked! After that it should be reasonably easy!

( I'm not the best with HTC's so if im wrong with anything someone please correct me! )

Hey there, what Ben said is correct the HTC One can be rooted and a senseless ROM can be flashed. You can check out the xda-developers website, they provide an easy guide to rooting and installing a custom ROM on the HTC One. There's a idiot prof guide that helped me
Thanks, have a good day.

Hey there, yeah I've stuck with HTC's for a while, so I know my way around them haha. Also depending on which ROM you use, HTC Zoe, BlinkFeed, and the IR blaster will most likely not be available.
Thanks, have a good day.
