Reputation never meant anything - it was always heavily augmented every 50 posts, not comparable to Dimebag adding a thousand or two Rep to his and some others accounts some years ago. Negative Rep was useless too, only abused by people who didn't get what they want. Omnipotent Being forbid those people now having both the ability to see who rated their post as 'not useful' and also being able to give negative Rep.

Reputation meant something back on that (was it v1) board? Needless to say, people took rep seriously back in the day, because you could actually have someone with negative rep, which would show they were a Flamer, scammer, etc. But a lot of people did abuse it so whatever. Rep is useless now.

I'm happy it's gone. Negative rep was around for awhile when I first joined and it was just a source of negativity.
