You need to have Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead in order to download the Mod for it aka DayZ

You need Arma 2 then Arma 2 OA for the DayZ mod, you can buy them on Steam together look for Combined Operations. You could also buy the complete collection if you want HD textures on characters/vehicles/buildings etc I don't have the complete collection as it's not required to play and I believe you can get the HD textures for free if you google it.

Oh and watch this video to improve your FPS and set the best settings [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Another thing get dayzcommander it makes everything easier [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Now your set to play.
