Can you post a link? A lot of Viper Xtreme kits are 1.65v, which is too much for an 1150 system. Voltages above 1.575 void the warranty and high voltage often indicates low-quality memory unless the stock speed is very high.

Rebates are a pain and aren't always honored, so I would buy a better-quality kit and not deal with the rebate.
