So I've recently built a PC and at first I bought a 2TB hdd and installed windows 7 on it and everything just fine, I recently bought this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and in the packaging it says I need to install "ExpressCache" from the SanDisk website. My question is, because it says I need to install this, can I still use the SSD to run the OS?

If it works like other caching software works, the OS should be cached to the drive after some use.

Then you wouldn't be using it as a cache drive. What caching does is take note of what files you access the most and copy them to the SSD so they can be accessed much more quickly. I'd suggest you use it as a cache drive because it's capacity is so low. It's also much easier because you won't need to re-install Windows or your applications.
