May I give you some advice my friend?
Now, I have 1,000 subscribers on YouTube and a Partnership so I can give you advice from my experience on YouTube.
1) Don't ask for subscribers, if you make good videos you'll earn them and they'll be loyal.
2) Make good videos, i'm not talking about a video that takes 10 minutes to record and 2 minutes to edit here. If you want to get yourself out there you'll need a HD capture card (Elgato, HD PVR), HD microphone (Blue Snowball, Blue Yeti) and a decent editing software (Sony Vegas). You'll need great content ideas and you'll need to be unique. You'll need to spend hours crafting the perfect video every time. Trust me, the community is rough and if you want to do YouTube seriously you'll have to put lots of effort, time and money into it. That will all pay off.
3) Don't like the sound of that? Well, then YouTube isn't for you man. It's not for everybody. It's great that you're starting out and wanting to make videos. BUT you have to do it the right way these days and it can be very stressful.
Please don't take any of this the wrong way, i'm only using my experience in the YouTube community to give you some advice.
Hope this helps!
