I dont have any, but i can borrow some so i thaught i would turn it on and try it anyway.

The Problem

So it boots for about 10 Seconds, the fan revs up, and then the console just flashes the two left lights which obviously means overheating problems.

Has this permanently stuffed my JTAG or will it work after reapplying some Arctic Silver?

Lol it sounded like it was going to Explode!

as long as you didnt fry the gpu/cpu it should work after you reapply thermal paste

These kids have no clue what they're saying, they just want to make useless posts.

The problem could be your paste but it's not making good contact, gpu or cpu.

What are you using to hold the heat sinks down? Kit or clamps?

Also, what is the secondary error? 0011,0012 or 0013? 11=cpu, 12=gpu and 13=ram overheating.

I can bet you my left nut that your console is okay. ;)

I removed the Heat-sink under the DVD Drive, thats the GPU right?

I put it strait back down but didnt reapply thermal paste, i need to get some AS5 from my mate.

Regarding the X-Clams or whatever, it has 4 holes drilled through the back metal casting, and the heat sink if that helps?
