Sorry I don't know where to post this, I thought I might get the most help here.

I have a moderate NAT type, I turned my router off over night and it still didn't change, anybody know how I can fix it to open? I can't connect to some friends

It depends on what router you have and also the console you have, you can manually change your NAT type

I have a Xbox and "Sky SR101" (Just read off the back of my router).

Can you show me where to go or a tutorial please?

I don't know if this pertains to your problem, it might, but anyway my NAT turns to Moderate when a lot of devices are using the internet at the same time.

Say for example my brother is watching netflix in one room, and dad is downloading movies in the other, and I'm trying to play some xbox.

With that I assume that the bandwidth has to split the usage between us 3, and if you don't have high internet speeds, then you'll experience high ping, and slow download speeds.

With the slow download speeds I have, it shows me having moderate nat in games.

I would suggest you try opening the ports that the device you are having problems with is using.

Xbox LIVE requires the following ports to be open:

Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)

These are the port numbers that the PlayStation Network will require to be open:

TCP Ports:
80, 443, and 5223

UDP Ports:
3478, 3479, and 3658

You can easily find the ports that most services use with a quick Google search. I would also recommend enabling UPnP on your router if it is supported.

That always solved my NAT problems.

If you go on [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and find your model router it will have step by step guides on how to port forward. UPnP is a lot easier and is as simple as changing a radio button from Off to On.

I'm not sure, if it's not on there then here is a link on how to port forward that router.

It's fairly similar on most routers anyway.
