Do you have anything that operates in the 2.4Ghz band like cordless telephones and baby monitors etc

I doubt this has anything to do but you did use two different servers to test your speed. The first server was in New Jersey and the second one was in New York. If you redo the tests using the same servers maybe you would get some what consistant tests. I don't know though just a thought.

Only things i can think of are Network Congestion and distance from router...

Its simple interference, do you live in the centre of the city, in a crowded apartment block or something? If so, your problem might just be that other routers are confusing your wireless adapter.

The best thing you can do is deal with it or connect it up with an Ethernet cord.

Or use powerline networking.

I do not live in the city, but I'm like 10mins from it. And I'm not on 2.4ghz, I'm on 5ghz.

Are you currently the only one using it? Also, is there anything close to your router? (Ex: Wireless speakers, cordless phone, TV)

Nothing wireless in my room/close but my smart TV, which is connected to the wifi, and that's really it.


Maybe there really is no way fixing it? I may have to purchase a new wireless router.

I would have suggested a different router, but I thought you wanted to get the most out of the one you already have, guess the only way to find out is to try another one.
