for iron i mine at the mine south of the clan camp... and for coal i mine at the dwarven mine resource dungeon

with iron use the clan vex and daemonheim ring for quick bank and travel....and for the coal theres a deposit box in the resource dungeon for you to put it all in

For me i usually find an empty world and go to ardougne. That's just me though.
