I have the HDPVR2 and I love it. I heard that the Elgato's are a lot harder to setup, and use but I'm not sure . If you have questions about the HDPVR2 you can PM ME ;)

I have a Elgato and LOVE it.
the program that comes with it is awesome!
its really easy to use as well.

They can both record in 1080p correct?
If so then what is the main difference that sets the 2 apart.

Well that's just what I heard about Elgato, lol and HDPVR2 is super easy to setup . But you have to be patient lol

The HDPVR2 and the Elgato have basically the same quality. The HDPVR2 is $50 cheaper. You decide.
