So I have a hard drive from an old original xbox. The disc tray broke on it, so I got a new slim.

Anyway, I took the hard drive from the original xbox, broke open the casing and got the actual hard drive out of it. I've been trying to get it to work inside of my slim but to no avail.

My hard drive is a Toshiba MK6052GSX and here's some pictures of my problems;

Maybe you messed something up when opening the case to get to the hard drive

You can't really mess it up. Just a SATA to MOBO cables and a PSU cable. Either the drive isn't compatible(not sure why it wouldn't be) or you **** something up.

You can buy a slim shell off ebay or amazon that will help you with future problems such as it disconnecting. I know this doesn't answer your specific question but the other members have done as much as I could have.

Saving up for a PC. Even though it may be cheap, I realllyyyyy don't want to spend any more money on Xbox.
