The Xbox One is a great buy for a couple of reasons. Here are some of them.
1. You are basically paying $500 for a high end Gaming Pc. With the Xbox One having a newer Graphics card, 500gb of storage, Blu-ray Drive, a processor with 8 cores, and 802.11n wireless chip. Also the fact that they dedicated certain amounts of Ram for specific things meaning 4GB for Gaming and other stuff. That right there will help developers to make games better since they know how much Ram they can utilize. (This doesn't include the unlimited Cloud storage which if Developers utilize Cloud storage into there games we could see console games passing Pcs.)
2. The fact that you can have your Xbox One running for 10yrs on standby. This being said, that means they dedicated a lot of time into the cooling of the console. Also you have to look into the Skype on the console, the Xbox One being able to run for 10yrs on standby is a great idea. Lets say you don't have a home phone or you don't need one, the Xbox One could be your home phone using Skype for calls/chats. Since it can be left on idle for 10yrs then that's great leave your console on idle daily and when you get a call through Skype it will ring and it will turn your system back on automatically for you to receive the call. That was a very smart idea on Microsoft's part.
3. You basically have a high end Pc and a Home Phone running on one system. Your wondering how could it get better and here is where it does. Since Microsoft has added a Windows Internet Explorer on the console and the 802.11n Wireless chip built in then you are running full Internet and Web with the advantage of running up to 450mps on the 802.11n wireless chip. That right there will let you not even need a Pc/Laptop at your house.
4. Now put in the consideration of the Media on the console. Since you will have most popular Top Tv channels and Live Tv on your Xbox One, you will be able to watch Tv on your console with no lag interference and the fact that most people watch Tv series/shows on the internet your Xbox will be able to do that as well. That right there makes you not even need a Tv in your house.
5. I haven't even talked about the Kinect that it comes with which im not going to go in much detail but it has 2 HD speakers on the outside, it can hear your voice better, and it will pick up movement a lot better than the 360 version does.
6. Here is basically how much everything costs.
- Graphics Card- $200
- 802.11n Wireless chip- $100
- 8 Core CPU- Minimum $160
- 500gb HD- $50
- Kinect worth $200
- Blu-Ray- $60
- DVR Built in $50
- That puts you way over $500 and that's not even everything, so you definitely get what you pay for and all of its advantages.
With all of this being said you don't even need a Tv, Pc/Laptop, or a Home Phone since your Xbox will do all of it. I haven't even scratched the surface of how great the Xbox One is and all the advantages of buying it are. I hope you enjoyed reading all of it and post a comment about your thoughts on it as well.

While I agree the Xbox One is very good and has a lot of good features. Who would ever replace a Laptop for an Xbox One, with a laptop you can carry it around easily, don't have to worry about power for a couple of hours (providing the laptop has a decent battery) and you get applications which will probably never become available on the Xbox One.
Also it would be pretty inconvenient using it as a home phone because you won't hear it ring without having a TV on all the time, and home phones are becoming less popular now anyway because people just use their mobile phones.
Another thing is you still need a TV so you can actually use the console so it will never replace that, not without implementing a HD projector which would put the price way above what any sane person would be willing to pay.

It's not a "high end gaming pc". The Xbox One, whilst compared to today's gaming computers isn't much more than a mid range budget computer.

You do have a couple valid points but like me and a lot of other players we play on monitors for best quality and response time. So to a lot of us we don't even need to own a TV. Also a lot of people out there never turn there TVs off, they leave them on standby or completely on meaning that they would hear the Skype call and be able to answer it.

It basically is a High end gaming Pc. If you go out and try to buy a Pc with all the box specs like the graphics card, 8 core cpu, 8gb ram and 802.11n wireless chip you will be paying around $700-$1,000. That right there is way over the Xbox Ones price.

That's false. Sorry. The gpu unit in the xbox is what's holding it back, not the rest of the specs.

I didn't say anything about holding it back I was stating that if you go out and try to buy all the hardware from the Xbox and you put it in a Pc you will be spending $700-$1,000. That is what I am stating and obviously you are unaware. Please read everything before commenting. Thankyou.

For an equally performing pc, it would be around $600. However, a computer is much more versatile, has a larger games library, will look better, and dedicated servers on AAA games. I'd say it's worth the extra 100.

But you lose out on a lot of advantages/specs. Like the console community which is larger than the Pcs and also Party chat and being able to talk to friends without having to download anything. There are a lot of advantages to owning the new console. If you don't want to buy it then that is fine. I am just trying to make a point at all the advantages it has and why its a good buy. Im not trying to compare it to Pc. If you insist on commenting back with more drama/arguments then I will not respond. Thankyou.
