I have to update my payment method by going to my account but I can't bypass this problem glitch error.

I'd give Xbox LIVE support a phone call or shoot them an email. I'm sure they can either update it via phone/email. Or give it some time because maybe you literally found a bug in the system which will fix itself sooner than later.
