I can't update it when its frozen at the boot up

It could be over heating or it also could be a bad patch you downloaded, some can mess your jtag up

start it with the eject button get rid of any launch ini files saved there.. i had this problem a few weeks back and i sorted it by transferring all my content from hard drive to a external HDD then formatting the internal hard drive... instead of having dashlaunch on the xbox HDD try it on an external HDD.. i have all my games, content, mods, FSD, DL3.07, XEXMENU, nand flasher, xm360 on a external 500gb HDD (WHICH ALSO WORKS PERFECTLY)... if you try these steps make sure you do a fresh install of dashlaunch and id also recommend updating to 3.07... if your system needs the newest dashboard update... download nand flasher and XeBUILD gui both programmes are so easy a dog could use them... i hope all goes well my retail is dead and my profile is banned from hosting on XBLS so id have said hmu on live... good luck
