You're mad/frustrated at video games? Really? Something that doesn't affect your life in any serious way, and you're punching holes in the wall, yelling at people around the world through your screen? This is what I don't understand.
It takes something serious for most people to realize and appreciate the little things in life. For me, I went to Marine Corps boot camp. I couldn't call my family, speak when I wanted to, and even take a s**t without asking. Every time I wanted to speak, I would have to request permission from my Drill Instructor, and then I would have to speak in the 3rd person. This was to take the individualism away from you. The only way I could communicate with my loved ones was through the mail!
I can almost guarantee you have a cell phone, computer, gaming console, parents that truly love you, a roof over your head, a pretty decent degree of freedom, etc. Why are people getting so pissed off over video games!?! This is crazy!
Just take a step back and realize what you have. Seriously, you don't know how much you have until you get it taken away. Don't forget that.

I use to rage a lot in video games, but I find it very pointless now... it gets you no where so whats the point of raging you know?

I think it's because of how people don't want to accept to defeat..
They want to have constant fun, therefore, they think they should be flawless every game..
and like someone else posted, it gets very competitive.
You just don't want to lose, and your mind is trapped inside the 'game zone' so you really don't think about real life A.T.M.

Gaming, sometimes, is a major part in peoples lives. I usually play FPS and those can get rather competitive if I don't play with friends. If I was playing something like Wii Sports, I wouldn't have any rage.

This rant was pointless. You act like you haven't raged at a video game before? If you say you haven't I call Bullshit! People rage at things because it's the only way to really let out your anger and anxiety.

My friend has broken his iphone 3 times from raging while playing xbox, and I don't understand it.

It's a natural thing. I used to rage really bad, I would literally throw my mic and controller.
I used to rage terribly at Halo, most of the time when I was losing a high level game.
I've toned it down a lot over time, I still rage but at most I'll just yell and leave the game.
I agree it's stupid to rage and it's pointless. But as I said before, it's a natural thing.
