All depends how much RAM you have!
Less than 4GB = 32Bit
More than 4GB = 64Bit
Less than 4GB = 32Bit
More than 4GB = 64Bit

Definitely get the 64-bit, you don't really want to have 32 bit OS. The 64-bit version handles large amounts RAM more than a 32-bit. But it depends on what you're using your computer for gaming or simple spreadsheets and business.

How on earth has everyone skipped over the fact that it completely depends on your processor?
If you have a 64 bit processor, get 64 bit, if not, then dont.

That doesn't matter as much however you can run a simple test, if your computer can't do 64BIT then it can't.
