What parts for my PC would need to be upgraded to be able to play BF3 on ultra settings and how much overall do you think it would cost in $$$?
Here are my specs.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3220 CPU @3.30GHz 3.30 GHz
Power Supply: Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W ATX12V v2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply
RAM: 8.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Operating System: Windows 8
Motherboard: ACPI x64-based PC
Disk Drive: Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Deskstar 7K1000.D HDS721050DLE630 500 GB 3.5' Internal Hard Drive. 500GB
Storage: 500 GB

You should be alright to be honest. It would only be worth upgrading if you could sell old parts. I would upgrade the 650 Ti Boost to a 660/7870 XT, and the i3 to an i5 if you can stretch it. Not sure about US prices but you could check. In the UK, a 650 Ti Boost can go for about 120 and a 660/7870 XT varies from 140-160. The i3 is about 80 and an i5 is about 170 (a 3570K).

Play around with the setting to you find what works for you, for example I don't care much for how the shadows look so I put them on high where as textures are on ultra ect.

As tbyeah said, you should be fine for now, but if your planning on playing any of the next gen games that is when you should consider upgrading. Your motherboard and cpu should be upgraded as well as your graphics unit. Depending on which card you upgrade to your case could or could not be to small or large.
