You don't need to spend $100+ on a "gaming" mouse and keyobard. Heres and example why pay 70pouunds on a mouse with some quick action button? Theres no need and for the keyboard you could get a logitech or something, I have a logic wireless mouse cost me 22pounds and it's perfect for gaming, also I have a logitech 10 keyboard which is good but is a little to small.
I say you go to a place that sells keyboards mouse's and that and test them like type on the keyboard see how it feels and do the same with the mouse just move around with it and see if you like it
Also if you do decide to spend stupid money on a mouse and keyboard just look at razer.com

Since that first comment didn't help you much here are some good keyboards and mice.

Keyboards:

Mice:

Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Razer Naga 2012 Black Mouse - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Those are just some good keyboards and mice out there, but keep in mind that there are better and more expensive keyboards and mice.

Ill link a couple of products i use. these are all good choices

Keyboard

QPAD MK-80(Cherry MX Blue)
QPAD MK-85(Cherry MX Red)
SteelSeries 6Gv2 (MX Red or Black)

Since you are in the states these may be very expensive,i own the MK-80 and i love it.

Mice

Razer DeathAdder 2013(I own this mouse and it is very good and i find it reliable, others may differ)

Zowie EC1 Evo
Zowie EC2 Evo

Steelseries Kana( Past experience with it and i loved it)

Also the post above is very helpful aswell so any of the stuff there is a good choice aswell, but remember, if its not mechanical the you may as well buy a 10 dollar keyboard as they all will be membrane.

Also choose the mouse that you feel will fit you hand/ what you like, also the most expensive stuff isn't always the best

If you want to spend around $100 total, these are all too expensive.

MX Brown switches since I find they're the most like-able and you didn't mention a switch preference.
