-Spaarky wrote There is NO such thing as privacy, whatever you do in life someone will know.

Is that you mom?

Gronk wrote "I think its important to recognize that you cant have 100 per cent security and also then have 100 per cent privacy and zero inconvenience," - US President Barack Obama

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety".

Modern Day Translation: Those who would give up liberty for the illusion of security end up with neither.

Benjamin Franklin said it much better and more truthfully IMO.

They don't record everything you say on xbox. They log meta data, not actual audio or video interactions. This is used to analyze suspicious behaviour and so the government(s) can follow up with it.

There are a lot of acts presented for internet communication and it does help to read up on this before raising concerns.

I don't really think that the government is listening to us on xbox or ps3, they don't have the time and money to tap into all of our conversations. And what about the people over-seas? Is the US government tapping into their conversations as well?

It's not like the government has workers sitting there reading every text you send and listening to every word you say. They have filters and if you say a few of the key words (like bomb, kill, stuff like that) then they will see your actions as suspicious and they will monitor you.

My xbox is in my room. I don't think they want to watch "the nasty" happen ;)
Seriously what could they possibly gain by doing this? It's not like some terrorist is going to get it and talk about all his plans over xbox to some 12 year old.

the government stores every written thing on the internet. so i wouldnt be suprised if they also stored every conversation you had on skype, xbox, phone,or any other way of talking to someone over the internet
