Can you show me some proof? Not saying you are wrong but pretty sure that's not true. Certainly not with 970, that's the midrange chipset. Like the AMD equal to H87.

It's the same chipset, the 8 core CPU's are terrible on that one.

You would be better of cutting on the GPU down and upgrading the motherboard.

F-18, please tell me more. I honestly didn't know that chipsets bottlenecked other than in extreme cases. Can you link me to some sources.

To be honest i'd be more inclined to hand out a bucket of fail on this one.

Did some reading on it and changed the motherboard. Apparently the lowest support for 8 core 125W CPUs is 970A, so I've added a mid-range G43 which should work absolutely fine. As long as he doesn't overclock.
