Chances are, you visited this post because you are:

a. Bad at Sniping
b. Spamming
c. Flaming
d. Want to learn tips

Well TTG, I am here to help you, This is:

:onfire: RAITOKUNRYUK's ULTIMATE SNIPING GUIDE! :onfire:

for complete noobs

Now before I start explaining, there are a few things you need to know:

Sniping is meant for Long-Range mostly.
This is a guide for Beginners who have never sniped / rarely snipe.
Sniping consists of mostly camping.

----------------------------------------

SECTION 1: Pick their Poison.

A Sniper is nothing without his weapon. The same goes for the rifle.
Here is a list of advantages and disadvantages of certain rifles.

Intervention:
Highest Accuracy
High Power
Bolt-Action
Small Clip Size

Barret .50 cal:
Accuracy - (Depends on the user)
Highest Power
Semi-auto
Large Clip Size

WA2000
Low Accuracy
Low Power
Semi-auto
Small Clip Size

M21 EBR:
Medium Accuracy
Medium Power
Semi-Auto
Large Clip Size

For beginning snipers, I would suggest the Barrett .50 Cal. It has the highest overall power, yet the accuracy is less than the Intervention. With the Barret, I get more hardscope kills, thanks to the accuracy. The Intervention is also a great choice, but it is not recommended for beginners. I would not even touch the WA2000 or M21 EBR, since they rarely kill in one shot.

----------------------------------------

SECTION 2: PerkWise.

There are a few simple perks that I use when I am sniping. Here is the list of the perks you NEED. Needs are labeled with an asterisk. (*)

Perk 1:
Sleight of Hand
Bling
Marathon

Perk 2:
Stopping Power *

Perk 3:
Steady Aim * (For Beginners)
Ninja * (For more advanced snipers)

Deathstreak:
Painkiller *
Final Stand *

For a beginner class, I would suggest Marathon or Sleight of Hand, Stopping Power, and Steady Aim.

----------------------------------------

SECTION 3: Think Tactically.

Sniping consists mostly of camping. People like me "look down" on camping, but it does have a big thing to do with sniping.

Tactic 1: Patroling
This tactic is for beginners. The object is to get at a higher elevation than your enemy and keep an eye on everything around the area you are hiding at. For instance, the helicopter pad on Highrise. Now just wait until you get someone gets into your crosshairs and pull the trigger. Make sure to ALWAYS watch your back, or let one of your friends do it for you.

Tactic 2: Roamer
Everything explained in Tactic 1, except after a kill or two you change spots. Easier done with the 1st perk Marathon.

Tactic 3: On-the-Go
Running and gunning. Plain and simple. Camping every now and then, you run around the edges of the map, killing any other campers. One thing wrong with this tactic is most people like to rush with UMP45s, trying to be tryhards. Which brings me to the next section...

----------------------------------------

SECTION 4: Equipment/Secondaries

This may be the most important part of a snipers inventory, next to the rifle itself. You are going to want to pick a secondary and set of equipment to go along with your playing style. For Tactic 1 & 2, I would suggest Claymores as your equipment, and flash bangs. For Tactic 3, Semtex or Throwing Knife would be the wise choice. Why? If you are getting shot at by a rusher, you can either try to snipe them, or just throw a Semtex or Throw a knife at them, and more times than not, it will kill them. That is when you change spots. Once people spot a camper, nothing will stop them from killing the camper. That is why you change areas, and mix Tactics if you must. For Tactics 1 & 2 your secondary should be a Shotgun that you are most profound at aiming with. For tactic 3, a pistol, or even a machine pistol. Which also brins me to the next section.

----------------------------------------

SECTION 5: Attachments

Attachments are very useful for sniping under certain conditions. Here is an example.

On dark maps like Rundown, I would suggest Thermal Scopes.

On compact maps like Skidrow, I would suggest FMJ.

Silencer reduces range, since a rifle is mainly used for range, this is a very bad attachment which in return reduces power. DO NOT use silencers!

On maps like Wasteland and Afghan, I would suggest Extended Mags.

----------------------------------------

SECTION 6: Pull the Trigger 101

Below is a video, demonstrating the tatics.

More info will be added when I think of it. If this post improved your sniping, please thank the topic, and +rep if you feel like it.

Thanks, took me a long time to type all of this. (2 Hours, not to mention the making of the YouTube video/uploading)

Leechers are everywhere. You can't avoid them.
